Dear PinkPonyz & Customers of Pink Pony,
From 2005 to 2007…hm around there, I was working at Pink Pony, and it was really my privilege to see, hear, smell, touch and taste the New York there. It was definitely the highlight of my time in the United State happily and sadly.
One day, I was shooting around the neighborhood, and something caught my attention at 1st. avenue (between E.1st. Street, and E.2nd Street). Don’t remember what it was, and maybe… it was the reflection of window?! That’s right, it was dead in front of Lucien, French bistro.
The owner, Lucien, came out just a matter of minutes, and said, “Are you a photographer? Do you have photographs to show me?” I replied, “I have a book(portfolio) at my apartment.” Later on, I visited him at the same bistro, and he brought me to the Pink Pony, which was also his restaurant, to see my work.
Well, it was not surprising to most of you who knew about Lucien from how he was, right? Just thinking about how we met… just want to share my gratitude with you.
